Preparation for WyCo Job Fair is available

The Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism office, Community Action for Wyoming County, Genesee Community College, the New York State Department of Labor, and Literacy West NY Inc have partnered again to coordinate the fifth annual Wyoming County Job Fair. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Warsaw Campus of Genesee Community College located at 115 Linwood Ave..

The Job Fair is free and open to all those looking for job opportunities. Assistance will be available throughout the day and interviews may take place on site. Help with resume writing and interview skills will also be available.

Companies registered to be on site include: Darien Lake Theme Park and Resort; Coastal Staffing Service of NY; KR Communications; Morton Salt Inc; NYS Office of Parks and Recreation, Letchworth State Park; WCJW Radio; Five Star Bank; Pioneer Credit Recovery Inc; Adecco Employment Services; Fidelis Care; TravelCenters of America; East Side Nursing Home; Primerica; US Customs and Border Protection; Independent Living of the Genesee Region; WNY Rural AHEC; CDS Life Transitions; Perry Ambulance; Campus Auxiliary Services; Astronics; Remedy Staffing; Griffith Energy; YMCA; Genesee Community College; SUNY Attain Lab; Community Action for Wyoming County; Wyoming County Community Health System; and Asbury Camp and Retreat Center.

Interested job seekers can prepare for the job fair by attending any or all of the following free workshops in advance:

March 1 and 15 at 9 a.m. will feature resume writing; and 

March 17 at 1p.m. will feature interviewing basics.

Literacy West NY, 29 North Main St., Warsaw; (585) 786-3890

March 11 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. will feature resume writing; and

March 16 at 1 p.m. will also feature resume writing.
