Kira Kastenhuber |
Accused murderer Kira Kastenhuber pled not guilty in Wyoming County Court March 17 in the death of 33-year-old Desirae Withey, of Perry.
Withey’s body was found in her home on Borden Avenue on the morning of Feb. 6 after one of her children asked a neighbor for help and the neighbor called 9-1-1.
The District Attorney’s Office is accusing Kastenhuber of entering Withey’s home with a preconceived plan to disable her and then kill her.
The 38-year-old Perry woman was arrested Feb. 8 after she was released from Strong Memorial Hospital following a potential overdose.
Kastenhuber is charged with two counts of murder in the second degree, burglary in the first degree, and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years old. Motions are scheduled for May 19. She was jailed in the Wyoming County jail on $1,000,000 bail.
